The second trailer for House of the Dragon is out. Choose between green and black

House of the Dragon is set for an even more dramatic second season, after a turbulent first season that left House Targaryen split. As both sides get ready for a bloody battle, excitement has grown over the much-anticipated release of two new trailers, one green and one black. Based on George R.R. Martin’s book The Princess and the Queen, HBO, the teaser highlights the cunning schemes of Queen Alicent and Princess Rhaenyra, played by Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy, respectively.

Both teasers depict the conflict between seeking retribution and being afraid of the consequences. It seems that neither party is eager to resolve the dispute amicably. The death toll in House of the Dragon season 2 is anticipated to grow when the program resumes on June 16th as more houses enter the fight. In India, Jio Cinema will broadcast it.

The Dance of the Dragons battle was alluded to but never completely addressed in the renowned A Song of Ice and Fire novels and the Game of Thrones television series. Viewers will finally get a closer look at this historic Targaryen family conflict in the next season. With season 2 of House of the Dragon approaching, the teasers provide an insight into how Team Green and Team Black are getting ready for the Targaryen civil war. Season 1 established the scene and introduced important components.

“Based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the series tells the story of House Targaryen and is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones,” said the official description. With the Green and Black Councils battling for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively, Westeros is on the verge of a horrific civil war. The Green and Black teasers depict the two viewpoints as distinct but complimentary parts of the same tale, as each side feels that theirs is the legitimate throne. As the realm splits in season two, viewers everywhere must choose which side of House Targaryen to support.”

The tale will pick up where season one left off in season 2. Tensions are high after the startling events of the finale, in which Aegon ascends to the throne rather than Rhaenyra. The person who was meant to succeed Rhaenyra as ruler is enraged. After her son, Prince Lucerys, is murdered by Aemond Targaryen’s dragon, Vhagar, in a terrible episode at Storm’s End, her rage only intensifies. The devastating loss feeds the flames and prepares the Targaryen brothers for a fierce confrontation.

In addition to Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, Rhys Ifans, Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham will all be back in House of the Dragon season 2. Many fresh names are expected to appear on the program alongside them.
