Sunny Deol has had enough of the ‘Border 2’ and ‘Gadar 3’ rumors: “People like to assume, but I will make the announcement myself.”

There have been a lot of speculations circulating regarding Sunny Deol’s next projects, especially those that are sequels to his hugely successful blockbuster flicks. The actor finds it surprising that people make assumptions about “Gadar 3” and “Border 2.” The conjecture game was mostly fuelled by the 2023 big office blockbuster “Gadar 2.”

Sunny Deol said in an interview with Hindustan Times that there have been rumors since the release of “Gadar.” ‘This movie is getting part 2, that movie is getting part 12’ is a common statement. The actor notes “how many part 2 speculations are happening every day” and expresses his frustration with the rumors. Although many prefer to presume it, he stressed that he would make the announcement himself.
Working with director Rajkumar Santoshi, Sunny Deol is part of the Aamir Khan-produced film ‘Lahore 1947’. The actor said that because “Gadar” proved to be a profitable endeavor, this is the next phase. For the last 15 to 17 years, the team has been working on this project, but it has not materialized. ‘Gadar’s’ success allowed them to expand their audience. Rajkumar is a gifted filmmaker who always comes up with interesting ideas, Sunny underlined. Together, the two have produced three masterpieces that span a variety of genres.

He went on to say that he would only work on films that he really enjoyed making. Without doubt, he will accept it rather than stressing over what others could think or what they would think. Although he is well aware of what fans and viewers anticipate from him, he is not yet ready to let that uncertainty get the better of him when it comes to his films.
